The Pilates Method

The practice of ​​Pilates, builds strength, flexibility, and endurance. It improves balance and posture, and promotes deeper relaxation, greater awareness of the body, coordination in the legs, abdominals, arms, and back, and an overall sense of well-being. Focusing on precise and aligned movement and breath,  Pilates can brings your mind to a more peaceful place and calibrate your entire body. The repertoire taught in Praveena's classes will develop a strong core and back, a whole balanced body, mobility and flexibility––creating an evenly conditioned body, preventing injuries through balancing strength and flexibility. 

The Yoga Tune Up® Method

Yoga Tune Up® was developed and created by internationally renowned movement educator, Jill Miller. It is a fitness module that integrates elements of Yoga, corrective exercise, body therapy and self-massage. The sequencing of the poses and the poses themselves are designed to improve proprioception (known as your "inner GPS") and the overall biomechanics and physiology of your body. Yoga Tune Up ®'s unique approach targets your fascia, muscles, tendons, connective tissue, and joints in order to transform unhealthy tension patterns into a healthy, balanced body. 

The GYROKINESIS®  Method

The Gyrokinesis Method is a movement method that addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. It is an original and unique method which coordinates movement, breath and mental focus. Gyrokinesis classes are adapted to fit each student’s needs and abilities from those recovering from injury or living with a disability to elite athletes.
